Charlie Longen is the owner of Longen Group, LLC. Seeing an opportunity to integrate tradition and experience with innovative business practices, Charlie launched Longen Group with the goal to provide superior client service in order to make the insurance process more accessible, efficient and inclusive for the many businesses and families we serve. Charlie is proud to be working alongside his sons Timothy and Connor Longen to offer clients a modern insurance experience.
Before building this agency Charlie was the founding owner of AIS Insurance Group, Inc. which he started in Drexel Hill in 1990 and where he served as CEO for 30 years. At AIS Insurance Group, Inc. Charlie was instrumental in growing the agency from initially offering only auto insurance to eventually offering a full line of commercial and personal insurance products through his relationships with more than 30 high quality insurance carriers. Prior to that he was a Registered Representative at The Prudential Insurance Company. Charlie has 40 years of experience in the insurance industry with extensive experience advising clients on their unique risk management needs.
Charlie is a member of the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. He has been a member of IA&B for many years.
Charlie has devoted more than 40 years to youth sports. Currently he is a Varsity Assistant Coach of Baseball at Friends’ Central School. He also coached varsity baseball at Archbishop Carroll High School and Monsignor Bonner-Prendergast High School. Prior to that he coached at Newtown Edgmont Little League and Broomall Newtown Babe Ruth. He was a referee for Philadelphia Catholic League Football for 17 years. He is a former member of the Advisory Board at Bonner Prendergast High School. Charlie was raised in Collingdale and currently resides in Newtown Square.
