Charlie Longen is the founder and owner of Longen Group, LLC, an independent insurance agency serving individuals and businesses throughout Chester County, southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina.
With more than 40 years of insurance industry experience, Charlie has built his reputation on trusted advice, personalized service, and a deep understanding of how insurance can protect families, businesses, and financial futures.
Throughout his career, Charlie has worked with a wide range of clients, from families reviewing their personal insurance needs to business owners managing complex risks. His experience in both personal insurance and commercial insurance gives him a unique perspective when helping clients make important coverage decisions.
Today, Charlie works alongside his son, Connor Longen, combining decades of insurance knowledge with a commitment to serving clients for generations to come.
Charlie Longen’s Insurance Career
Charlie began his insurance career with The Prudential Insurance Company, where he developed expertise in financial services, insurance planning, and risk management.
In 1990, Charlie founded AIS Insurance Group, Inc. in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Over more than 30 years of leadership, he helped grow the agency from a primarily auto insurance operation into a full-service independent insurance agency serving both personal and commercial clients.
During that time, Charlie gained extensive experience helping individuals and businesses identify risks, protect assets, and make informed insurance decisions.
Recognizing the tremendous growth and opportunity throughout Chester County, Charlie expanded his presence into the region and founded Longen Group to continue providing experienced insurance guidance to families and businesses throughout the area.

He has devoted more than 40 years to youth sports and mentoring young people. Charlie currently serves as Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach at Friends’ Central School and has previously coached varsity baseball at Archbishop Carroll High School and Monsignor Bonner-Prendergast High School.
He also coached youth baseball through Newtown Edgmont Little League and Broomall Newtown Babe Ruth, and served as a referee for Philadelphia Catholic League Football for 17 years.
A strong supporter of Catholic education, Charlie participates in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program and provides annual baseball scholarships to student-athletes at Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast High School.
Through coaching, mentoring, and community involvement, Charlie continues to encourage young people to pursue their goals and develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
